Altamura Trattoria
Altamura was born from the lifelong dream of husband-and-wife chefs Elisabetta Callegaro and Massimo Tundo. Both classically trained in Italy, their love for cooking started in their grandmothers’ kitchens, where simple recipes and time-honored techniques shaped their passion.
After years of success with their first Miami concept, Dal Plin Italian Eatery, the couple longed to create something even more personal — a place that felt like home and celebrated their roots. They chose the name “Altamura,” after the ancient Italian city known for bread and deep culinary heritage, as a symbol of authenticity and tradition.

In 2025, they brought that vision to life in Midtown Doral, opening Altamura Trattoria & Forno — a warm, inviting space where classic regional recipes, handmade pastas, and brick-oven pizzas are crafted with love and shared around the table.
